Hi! I'm glad you stopped by.  I'm Jessica.

When I was eight, my great grandmother, Esther, gave me my first Kodak camera. She had no idea how addicted I would become, as I have been taking photos ever since. In high school, I took photography classes and learned how to use a dark room. In college, I took photojournalism courses and worked at a photography studio in the mall. (Oh, do I have some interesting stories!) I had my oldest daughter in 2008, and knew I wanted to keep taking photos of babies. As I experimented with my photography, I realized many of my favorite shots were not posed - but much more informal and playful. I have now done hundreds of shoots and none of them look alike!  I love to play and experiment in new ways, so I attend conferences and workshops to keep up to date on new industry trends. I work closely with you to make each session unique, just like your family.

I also have a Master's degree in English and teach college courses. When I'm not taking photographs, I'm reading literature and teaching writing. I also love to cook with my kids and go scuba diving! My kids cannot wait until they are old enough to join me on a dive.

I look forward to working with you!
